悖还是一个姓氏，悖氏是以凶德为氏的。

悖，违反，谬误之意。南北朝时，梁武帝萧衍命令豫章王综担任督军，镇守彭城，与魏将安丰王元延明对峙。双方相持了很长时间，两军仍然不分胜负。梁武帝怕长期拖延战争会发生变乱，就命令王综退兵。王综怕退兵回来受到责备，就投降了魏将元延明。

梁武帝知道王综投降魏后，大怒，削去了王综的爵位封号，把他的姓改为悖氏，意思是狂悖忤逆。从此以后，王综的后代就以耻辱地把“悖”作为姓氏。
